watercolor save the dates for courtney + tyler

one of my very favorite things to do is work with other creatives. my good friend, courtney, is on the the christian siriano team in nyc. i have always been inspired by her custom sewing work; the attention to detail, fit and her ability to put a show together for ny fashion week under some serious pressure. the closest i have come to a sewing machine was during my costume making class for my dance major where i ended up with some pretty... umm... interesting pieces.

courtney wanted to include watercolor elements in her save the dates, so i worked with several of her paintings to come up with the final design.

a lot of love went into the making of the wedding suite for shawna and joseph who were recently married at saltwater farm vineyard in stonington, ct.

i love the fall palette and special touches like their custom tag and belly band. the two color letterpress was printed on cranes 220lb double thick cover making it seem like you were opening up a present. remember jordan of noteworthy and blue? her beautiful calligraphy is featured on both the response and outer envelopes. the white hand lettering on the orange gives it a great pop.

congrats again to shawna and joseph, it was so much fun working with you guys and i loved seeing you on your special day. thanks for letting me share!

every summer we visit michael's cabin in harpswell, me, which has been in the palmer family for four generations. we power down, enjoy some lobster and long boat rides. this year we really lucked out with weather and were able to take a day trip to boothbay. we also love going to portland to grab a cup of coffee (or beer at rising tide brewery) and enjoy the quaint city.

looking forward to creating many more memories at the cabin. here are some snaps from this years visit!
