I had such a great time working with Dorothy and James for their wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington, CT. They are a fun couple who wanted their invitation suite to reflect their personalities with hints of Irish tradition (envelope liners!). Take a look at the beautiful couple below on their wedding day along with the finished product!
one of my very favorite things to do is work with other creatives. my good friend, courtney, is on the the christian siriano team in nyc. i have always been inspired by her custom sewing work; the attention to detail, fit and her ability to put a show together for ny fashion week under some serious pressure. the closest i have come to a sewing machine was during my costume making class for my dance major where i ended up with some pretty... umm... interesting pieces.
courtney wanted to include watercolor elements in her save the dates, so i worked with several of her paintings to come up with the final design.
excited to share these invitations for james and dorothy - navy and white with stripes and clover green accents. they have a really cool date (12/13/14) so we wanted to make sure we used that as a focal point in the design. construction was time consuming, but worth it; each card was mounted on a navy backer with custom navy and white striped corners. the envelopes were finished with address wraps and matching liners.
they had a small celebration with close friends and family, but will be hosting a larger reception which means more invitations to come!
