Ptown

mini vacas are always the best. just a couple days to regroup, ignore email and have no specific plan. provincetown in october proved to be the perfect spot to do just this.

we stayed at the fairbanks inn, recently under new ownership by the same guys who own the salt box inn. i fell in love with the simplistic decor highlighting the 1700s sea captain home. the location was convenient to commercial street and we were greeted each morning with a fresh breakfast.

the weather didn't allow for a bike (which would have been awesome - their trails through the dunes are not to be missed), but we still enjoyed the day exploring.

we would highly recommend victors for raw bar happy hour and joon for dinner. the east street market is a bit off the path, but worth it for breakfast or lunch sandwhiches (and not touristy which is an added bonus).

even though it wasn't beach weather, ptown is a great fall option - streets are still bustling, night life is strong, stores are having their end of season sales and you don't have to fight the crowds (as much). so quaint, so much character...

surf inspiration

when i was  visiting my family in new hampshire i did all the usual things i love to do when i'm home: go to kb's bagels, run the wall, walk around downtown portsmouth, grab some beer at throwback and of course, check out the surf. the timing was in my favor... the storm had brought on some serious stoke and i happened to have my camera in the back seat. below are some of the snaps.

this was the main inspiration for the support local hoodies that will be coming out soon.

gold glitter shower invitations

baby luke is already here and i never posted photos of jackie's baby shower invitations... better late then never right? i'll post his birth announcement next, because he is TOO. CUTE. i can't even stand it.

gold glitter got everywhere when i was making these (and most likely when people opened them), but it was a fun way of adding some sparkle and a little texture to the invitation. i also love the pennant flag shape that went with our "anchored in love" theme for the party.
